To begin a driving course in Poland, you must meet one of the following conditions:
• Residency Requirement: You need to have stayed in Poland for at least 185 days in each calendar year due to personal or professional reasons.
• Student Status: If you’re studying in Poland, you must present a certificate confirming that you’ve been enrolled for at least 6 months.
When Can You Start the Course?
You can sign up for the driving course 3 months before you reach the required age for a given driving license category. For Category B, you can register as early as 17 years and 9 months.

When you’re ready to sign up, make sure you have the following documents:
• ID card or passport
• Driver Candidate Profile (PKK)
• Residence card, visa, or other proof confirming that you have been living in Poland for more than 185 days
What is the PKK and How to Obtain It?
The Driver Candidate Profile (PKK) is an electronic document that identifies you as a person applying for a driving license. It is required before you can begin the driving course and exams.
To get your PKK, follow these steps:

• One passport-style photo
• Certificate from an occupational medicine doctor confirming no contraindications to driving (a discount voucher may be available at our office!)
• Written consent from a parent or legal guardian if you are under 18.
2. Visit the Communication Department:
• Once you have all the required documents, go to the Communication Department at the appropriate City Office. In Wrocław, it’s located at ul. Gabrieli Zapolskiej 4.
• Fill out the application form (available on-site or online) to receive your PKK. (Click here to download the form)
• The application can also be submitted online via www.esp.pwpw.pl.
With your PKK in hand, you can officially register for the course and start your path to getting a driving license in Poland.
