Can I drive on my foreign license?
If you hold an EU/EEA driving license, it remains valid in Poland. If you hold a license from outside the EU/EEA, you can typically drive for a limited period on your foreign license (check the exact rules for your country), after which you'll need a Polish one.
What paperwork do I need to start a course?
- A medical certificate confirming no health contraindications to driving.
- A PKK number (Profil Kandydata na Kierowcę) issued by the local Wydział Komunikacji (Communications Department).
- A valid ID or passport, and proof of residence in Poland.
Do I have to learn the theory in Polish?
No - the theoretical state exam at WORD can be taken in English (and several other languages). At KopaMa we also teach the full theory course in English, so you don't need to translate technical driving terms yourself.
How long does the whole process take?
From paperwork to passing both exams, most students finish within 6 to 10 weeks, depending on how quickly lesson slots and exam dates are available.
